National Joint Registry
2015-2017
Patient reported outcome scores are collected by the National Joint Registry in the UK. These are questionnaires given to patients prior to surgery to record their level of pain and functional ability. The questionnaires are the Oxford Hip and Oxford knee score. These are repeated 6 months after surgery and the difference between the scores shows the improvement in pain and function following surgery and rehabilitation.
Mr Gardner’s patients have better outcomes for pain and function compared to the national average in the table below.
